DeepFast Low-speed Downhole Motor Enhanced Coring Work Efficiency and Recovery Rate

OVERVIEW

The TITOⓇ SS675 downhole motor(PDM) features stable speed, slight vibration, large torque and high strength, which is very suitable for coring operation.

In well Lu 203H57-3 and Lu 210, the operator decided to use the BHA as low-speed downhole motor and Coring tools. The low-speed downhole motors were provide by DeepFast.

PERFORMANCE

• Average ROP for coring increased from 0.52m/h to 1.1m/h (nearly a 100% improvement in efficiency) for Well Lu 210.
• Achieving a coring footage of 15.57 meters with a drilling time of 105 minutes per meter. Compared to previous coring cycles, the time was reduced by nearly 50%, while the recovery rate reached 100% for Well Lu 203H57-3.
• Compared with the top drive or turntable drive, it is more stable and efficient, effectively improving the ROP of coring drilling, and the core recovery is 100%.
