Overview

The Da’an 1H21-Z6 well, located in the Da’an block of Zhejiang Oilfield, is a deep high-temperature 3D shale gas evaluation well. The primary production layer (Longyi-1-4) presented complex geological conditions, including internal fractures and uplifts, coupled with formation high temperatures (exceeding 140°C), making drilling so challenging.

Solution

Upon receiving the task, DeepFastt carefully selected rotary steerable system (RSS)-compatible downhole motor (Model: 7LZ172×7.0-4.5) based on formation conditions and tool performance.

Performance

Set multiple records in Zhejiang Oilfield, including: Highest daily footage in 8.5 inch hole (361 meters), Highest “one-trip” footage, Shortest drilling period of the fourth spud, in the 8.5-inch hole section of the fourth spud saved 7 days time and cost.
